Quality food products have all those components naturally, and with better taste." Kaestner encourages consumers to buy directly from farmers or farmers markets. "Sometimes to buy these foods at restaurants can be expensive," he said. "But people should try them at home." The nutritional benefits of products from grass-fed animals are heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids and cancer-fighting conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). Milk from grass-fed cows also is higher in vitamin E. Kaestner said it makes sense to buy food that is raised with environmentally friendly practices.
