Hang in there, Mom! Q: Rich of Bay VIew - I was the kind of person who drank coffee all day until 6 months ago. Since then I have switched to drinking 2 low carb nhs energy drinks a day. The low carb drinks have B-Vitamins along with Vitamin C among other nhs things. Is this a better alternative to my coffee habit? A: Barb Troy - So, Rich, you managed to get off the coffee nhs train...I bet that wasn't real easy since I am assuming that it was caffeinated coffee. Anyone has made a major switch off of caffeinated products know how for awhile it seems like energy plunges and headaches can occur. But this passes, right Rich? As to thelow carb energy drinks, since it's only 2 a day, yes this probably is a good switch. I would just be curious in really knowing your Calorie trade. Did you put cream, sugar, milk, etc in the coffee? (If you happened to put just skim milk in your coffee, you might actually be seeing a significant drop in your day's calcium intake.)
